Marcus, the problem I had was the sudden and loud noise when the compressor came on, not any air surge. Even though I knew it would come on at some time and literally shake the room (a 75 year old house ain't solid!), it was still a shock. Most of the time it didn't bother me, but at times I was really concentrating on the very small cuts and totally forgot my surroundings. I wanted to use my large compressor in the garage but it would be very difficult to run the lines to my upstairs studio. A move may be in the future, so this could be a moot point anyway.
