My first goal for the year is to make the alphabet (up to P so far). I'm using some books for ideas, but mostly designing and drawing the letters myself. The designs are stored on note-cards and I use my pantograph to transfer and reduce the designs onto silver blanks. Thanks to my brother for the cool retouch!

nice work. do you create permanent masters, or just trace over a paper drawing ? i always create permanent masters on aluminum or plastic. i only make a master template if it's a design that i know i'll be doing on a repeat basis.

My drawings are on card stock, and I trace the lines free-hand with the pantograph. They look a little wiggly on the pendant blank, but are good enough to engrave over. Usually after I engrave the first pendant I see little tweaks I want to make to the "master" drawing. The oval frame designs are improvised somewhat and not part of the master drawing. If I were to go into production I can see the wisdom of templates, but for now this system is adequate.

Nice! I like the borders and how you made the letters look like they are floating above them.
