is there a list of engravers that for instance do conrtract silver engraving on this forum or is that something you would like to see?

No list that I'm aware of but some may chime in here after a few days.
There is a place on the Lindsay site for "engraver's needed" where the general public can post a need with a brief descripton of what you want done. Those that look at that part of the site will call or email the person needing some work done.
I've answered a couple but the need is usually filled by then. Don't hurt anything to ask here or there as far as I'm concerned, you may get a bite.
