I drew up what I would call a single point leaf pattern and used a liner tool to shade it.
Saves some time and it's not terrible to look at.
:tiphat:
I am sure that this is a common practice for other engravers trying to speed up.
I do use a liner tool when doing Western bright cut engraving.
Anyway just thought I'd share this information.

Do you turn your tool to work it into the acute corners? Or finish with a single point? Or fight your way out of the corner? Or "d"?

Looks solid

:tiphat:The liner has a slightly rounded face.
CBEAR... you want to turn the work into the graver...if you are trying to power thru it you are doing something wrong.
Running a liner is similar to using a flat graver...you start on the corner of the tool and roll the graver to obtain contact with the surface of the metal that your cutting.
Start with two lines..pick up 3..4..5..6 lines and so on.
