fabulous, should say. just inspiring ! curious, sam-- do you do the border before, or after the engraving ?

this is spectacular sam! i have watched this on your video at least a million times and i have yet to cut one that looks half this clean! I am useing the EG120 with polished heals but i am still getting heal drag BAD. It has to be something simple i am doing wrong and just cant figure it out

Keep a short heel of 1/4mm or so. Don't cut too deeply. It's more about the width of the cut than depth, and that's a common mistake people make when learning it.

FYI, for these rings were cut with a EG105° graver. Originally I cut this style with a flat (the center ring was cut 10 years ago with a flat graver).
