Years ago I discovered The Cronite Co. 973-887-7900 where I bought practice plate material size cut to order at a reasonable price. Mirror polished on both sides with a choice of thickness from 18 guage to 1/2". Once upon a time 7 or 8 years ago I took an engraving class from the amazing engraver Tim George. Tim had several display cases very nicely made with wood trim, about a foot long with about eight plates 1" by 1" by 1/4" engraved with different examples of his work many types of scrolls and animal sceens as well as gold and lettering jobs. All of which he would show the customer to help him decide on the type of work he wanted. How easy it would be to buy some of these precut polished plates and make a display of your work. I buy the 18 guage 2" by 2" for practice plates. Just thought I would mention it.
