A little while back Brian Powley posted his modified fixture and someone made a comment about only the Y axis, which is something I spotted when I first looked at the post. Here is my version with the variable X now applied. Hope this will benefit some of you who need something along these lines
Brief explanation. The spring loaded plunger indexes into the holes on the underside with 10deg increments. By moving the whole unit in the Y direction as required pulling the plunger allows rotation to bring X axis into play. Sorry Brian for pinching half your idea and adding a little just seemed that it would do a little more and be a little more flexible. Dimensions on the one I've made are as follows: 1" sq aluminium bar. disc is 110mm x 12 mm thick. Plungers and shoulder bolt purchased from Ebay. And a special note of thanks to my friend Paul for all his hard work in machining this up.
