Great coins! The collectors will eat them up. I to like the ribbon you used on a couple of them. One of things I want to know about Hobo coins in general is why folks like you have not created coins of other countries. I would love to see coins of pre WWII from your own country also used. Their are some neat shaped coins. I personally don't like the look of the euro coins to modern coming from places with such rich history. There are some great coins with Elizabeth II from countries all over the world. I have them from the Bahamas and New Zealand The coins of WW II are mostly worthless, they come in all sizes and I am sure some of the collectors would like to see them. Fred

Ok, so I am a newbie but I am getting depressed seeing the creativity on here... how can one become that good? I am not an artist like the rest of you folks!

Thanks guys!!!

Marrinan: Maybe there are some nice coins to cut here in europe but i think collectors will not be interested in them because there is no link with the hobo history i guess. but i will do some research on this, or just ask Paolo, he probably knows;-)

BKJ: i'm also pretty new to this but all i can say is practice, practice, practice. several hours a day, because i also have still so much to learn.
I wanted to learn engraving, but i found out i was better in carving coins so that's what i do now

History of yhe hobo be Da**ed. The art has outgrown the history. Lee Griffiths cuts gold coins on occasion. Several others are using other denominations and doing quit well. I like the artistry of many coins from around the world, There is a guy in Panama City Beach selling silver pieces of eight from some big ship wreck he found, The Ana something or another. Some are real and some are copies of original ones cast with silver from the same wreck. Talk about a perfect pirate theme coin. Fred

Hey Tim William is right you must have some back ground on drawing because those are really nice and I know they take a lot of time even with a microscope
For bkj you are in the right place if you want to learn don't get shy to ask question and check hobocarvers.com for good ideas on how to start
