For anyone that's interested in using UV cure adhesive or nail polish to transfer off of an overhead transparency I've found a better lamp for use on larger items. A UV fingernail dryer works for smaller items but I doubt it would fit something like a 1911 slide.
What I found is a Zoo Med PowerSun 160 bulb and a Zoo Med Deep Dome lamp on Amazon ($45 for the bulb, $20 for the lamp). These are designed for providing UV light to amphibians but the frequencies produced are 365 and 405 nm just like the LED's. It's a 160 watt mercury vapor lamp so it packs plenty of punch. I did a test plate and it hardened Loctite 363 in less than 3 minutes.
I know everyone thinks the old guy from Arizona is crazy. First he wants us to smear nail polish on our stuff now he wants us to cure it with a "Lizard Lamp" (that's what my wife calls it). I might be crazy but this stuff beats any of the other transfer methods I've tried hands down.
Now, if I could just draw a leaf.....
