New use for parchment paper?

I don't know if this has been covered before, but it is new to me and may be of some help to others.

I've finally progressed to the point where Thermo-lock is necessary for work holding, and I did encounter a problem with initial heating and forming. That stuff is really sticky and it made a real mess.

Going back to the GRS site I discovered they sell a Teflon sheet for this purpose, but I am CHEAP.

Enter Parchment paper, this is it's original use as a non-stick surface.

Problem solved.

cool. thanks for the tip. i made up up 2 boards about 6x12". varnished them very heavily.. id heat the sticks till a bit rubbery, and would then roll them into sausages betwixt the boards. from sphagetti size, to about 1/8". cut to several lengths. i just store them till i need them. i seldom use thermoloc for anything except dedicated fixtutes. this stuff is magic for fixturing. for most flat items, i use a hot melt glue gun. no burned fingers, and it releases very nicely with isopropyl.
