i like the buttplate scene, but would crop it in tighter. bigger animals, less tree. just a suggestion...

Dan,
Do you have a P&V? I don't think I have seen one get to the US without engraving. Most were engraved by the late Claudio Tomasoni.

Thanks Sam. It has been 3 years since I have cut a scroll. But i’m still young(ish), so maybe.

Good suggestion Mitch. I will work on some changes.

Hi Roger, yes I have a barreled action (P&V) in the white. I stocked it a few years ago. And yes they were quite concerned when I asked them detailed disassembly questions but they were gracious and generally helpful.

Hi Mitch. Lots of clean up required but here are a couple of iterations. Your thoughts? The left is the original and I turned off the shading and background layers in hopes of a more clear picture.

Not who you asked but the second from the left looks best proportioned to my eye. The cat looks just the right size in relation to the prey.

Not a double. The P&V Eagle is a single shot break open. I added hardware to the barrel to allow me to create a forearm design similar to the Merkel stutzen. This rifle is chambered in 7x65 R which is the reason for the leopard motif.

Thanks Monk, bought that stock blank in the early 2000’s and waited for the right gun to put it on.

Good, thanks, I wanted to pull the fawn away a bit to focus the threat.

P&V is short for Perugini & Visini which is an Italian gun maker.

Thanks Jonathan. I struggle with pretty much every game scene but get a lot of good advice from people on Engravers Cafe.

My best critic and biggest fan (my wife) thinks I should scrap the game scene idea and just do an animal like the Kudu I did a few years ago. B1A6D7F8-CC73-4373-AA3B-0ECA0BED1611.jpeg
