This Colt SAA was hipped from the Custom Shop with full blue and a non-fluted cylinder. My client's theme objective was to celebrate the Mexican Revolutionaries, Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata. These two were politically active in the early 1900's in suport of the farm workers and peasants. It was always about he land, who owned it and who worked it. Both men were assassinated in mid-life.
The open cylinder gave me a great opportunity to do the portraits. The gun is compete except for bluing and final assembly. John Powers will soon working on that. When he finishes I'll gray the portraits and do the final details. We will be showing this piece at the Colt Collectors Association Show, October 5-7 in Scottsdale.
