My bearing surfaces were decent but with the thrust bearing/washer and the shear weight of the table/vise seemed to be enough anyhow. I did polish the post of the table and greased it well and it works fine.

I probably screwed up when I post the stuff about the Dulin-Hawk engraving platform on the Post from Al
"1st post advice: GRS Benchmate & Acrobat stand?" I what stuck out the most to me when I first read it was the neck & back problems and bench ergonomics.
One thing I wanted to add in case anyone is interested is, We have some chairs at the Sheriff's office in 911 Dispatch, made by DoMore, 24-7 chairs made for round the clock work that are fantastic, I started working here 10 yrs ago as a 911 dispatcher and I'm still sitting in the same two chairs. There are 12 of us dispatchers that rotate shifts, but someone sitting in each chair 24-7, half of us are quite large
and the chairs hold up extremely well, the ones we're using are high back & come with a 7 yr Intensive Use Warranty. They run about $900.00. As well as these have being used 24-7 no telling how long they'd last in our environment engraving. Probably be the last chair I'd ever need to buy. Clothe & everything is long lasting stuff. I'm going to get one to go with my new Dulin-Hawk Hand Engraving Platform Dwayne
