NIce job on all aspects of your work Griff. The silver/steel work looks great. The job you done with Photoshop is also great considering that the way you worded it sounds like you are new to cameras and software to edit with. I have been after SAM (A) for quite a while now to do a shoot/prepare/post class thru GRS. I have always felt that one place we craftsmen/artists fall short is on our photos and presentation of our work. Interesting scroll reversal by the way.
thanks for your feedback, I agree that presentation is a downfall. I am learning ways to do better. a class would be a great idea! as far as the silver work goes I am struggling with the order. Brightcut engraving solder it on and cut simple enough. with single point engraving im not shure i doing it the best way. I cut my outlines etc in the silver, then saw out and solder i go back for the shading last. Where i git lost is since i engraved the outline, then used that as my line to saw. do i recut the out line or just shade?
Keep an eye out at your local community college or adult/continued learning centers. I know the local Community COllege around here does a lot of continuing ed. classes that go over software applications, photoshop, etc. Same goes with photography classes. I know the college also does that as well as our local museum with photography classes.
BTW your work looks great!
