Hi all. I'm from Ukraine. Fate turned out so that in connection with the war in my homeland, I ended up in America. In Ukraine, I have been engaged in manual engraving for 12 years. Question to everyone. Can I apply my experience here in America without knowing English? do i have a chance to find a job? I would be grateful for frank and truthful answers.

Sorry to hear about your needing to relocate from your homeland to the USA but maybe it will benefit you in the future. I'm sure the language barrier will be overcome as we all have the ability to communicate, even if regimentally at times. Would love to see some examples of your work.

I was on a mission team in Ukraine quite a few years ago and still stay in touch with those on the team and keep up with the news in the area where we worked on building a church and worked on the orphanage in Zvystivka (I can't spell it but is, I think, the only city in Ukraine with no vowels) about 50km from Chernobyl. The Russians just about destroyed all the work we did there and killed a couple of the children from the orphanage.

I'm not sure where you are now located in the US. When I Iived in New York State, in the Catskills area, there is a very large strong Ukrainian community, Church and Cultural Center in Kerhonkson. My neighbors all belong to it and they were a very friendly supportive community. You might try and look them up for some help. They are wonderful open hearted people
