Popping chip

I want to learn how to “pop” a chip at the end of a cut that has the shape of a “comma”. I be google the heck out of it but really no useful info found. What I learned so far is the graver needs to have a taper for it to be on the “springy” side. I’m using a Lindsay palm control btw. Can anyone provide a sketch or photo of their taper and a suggestion of using the palm control graver to pop the chip. The palm control is sensitive to any forward pressures so it may not be possible to flick out the chip.

Good evening Flatsguide, I tried to find a better you tube video than this but it may give you a ok view on the wrist flick/ chip pop action. Skip forward to about 7 mins in. Maybe this will help maybe not. Hope you have a good one.

REGardless of the tool chosen, this is just something that must be practiced. practiced till it is automatic. you dont have to think about it, it just happens.
