Just got my foot throttle rebuilt and hooked it up and cant seem to get it working right. Power fade at full throttle and can't set up hand pieces right with it now. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Use a 1/8" Allen wrench to adjust the screw in the bottom. Start at about 10-12mm from the top of the Allen screw to the bottom of the brass thingy. Each pedal varies but make the adjustment so the hand piece just starts to operate and then back it off a bit. Make sure it is all clean as well. If the cylinder is really scored it may still leak but it is usually the adjustment.
This is a copy of a post Rex did. He's a wealth of knowledge on this stuff. He's talking about the screw in the throttle pedal when its turned upside down if you are confused. I hope this helps you and Rex I hope you don't mind me copying your post but its the fastest way I could answer to the problem.
No problem copying me Phil!
I would think if you just got the pedal back from a rebuild it is going to be fine and you have another issue. Make sure you have proper air pressure and enough air coming into the machine. A typical 901 hand piece is set at about 20 lbs and if the gauge drops when you are running the hand piece you either have an air leak or not enough air coming in. If it is an older model Max the hoses may be rotted and leaking.
Also, too MUCH air will make the machine run bad as well. Refer to the instructions for the proper air pressure for your hand piece.
If the pedal just got back from a rebuild adjustment would be a bed idea. Follow Rex's suggestions. You might also want to look for moisture in the system.
