image.jpg This inlay work is really nice. Most of the backbones are quite pleasing!

There are just a couple areas that could use some nudging so please don't take offense as I think your skill is impressive.

The area I marked in red looks too 'straight' to be part of a graceful backbone... If this were still in the pencil stages, it would have only taken a quick erase of that portion and redrawing, but next time you can keep your eye out for line deviations like this. The green line needs a little coaxing also, but is not as deviant.

When I draw scrolls, I always fail to acheive a pleasing backbone on the first try. But I've learned to be more diligent in using my eraser and redrawing it. For some reason, the human hand has a difficult time drawing graceful curves on the first try... but the deviant parts become easier to spot and fix with time.

You have some really outstanding things going on though and this is work to be well pleased with!

thanks all for the feedback! appreciated much!

@ andy, thanks for the corrections, yah, i just notice now (red line), the green line, saw that while i was working hehe.

scrolls, i still working on shading, my lines are still thick. i still having difficulty on smaller scroll shadings.

the scrolls are all HC, i want to further enhance my HC on smaller scrolls as i think that would be a good benchmark when i go on bigger sizes (was inspired by Mr. Weldon Lister)

again, thanks to all. more feedback and comments are welcome.....

I just saw your bulino lion after searching for more of your work... It's great... Keep engraving because you're already doing great things!... and with minimal tools! Copper is tricky to inlay but you nailed it!

again, thanks andy!

im still learning from the copper, and i think if such will be gold, that would be easier.

i tend to miss the scroll tip for the inlay which is pointed, so i think i need to have a better graver suited for that portion.
