If the goal is to improve the value of the item through engraving, then I'm gonna practice on inexpensive items. This is a pair of garden hose end caps left over from my previous life as a plumber, haha...............

Home Depot carries these engraved covers for the carriage trade...Not! I really like the first one, very elegant super duper control on the fine lines.

Yeah, was considering marketing them to the higher end nurseries around here, haha, they still have the gaskets.

Thanks again, kept a bunch of my scrap plumbing pieces to play with, have a couple plungers from the old school solid brass trip lever waste and overflows...........
