I’m looking to get into this area of drawing. My question is, is an iPad Pro an absolute necessity for using Procreate? Or would a regular iPad be sufficient?

Well upon further research I have found that only a Pro or the newest IPad support the Apple Pencil.

Using the new ipad currently and at half the price it may be worth your time instead of a pro. I only use it for procreate and will also be purchasing affinity photo like I was recommended, but I will see if that works instead of a photoshop subscription. I enjoy seeing your progress with the engraving too my friend.
