Revolver cylinder holder help

I use two large diameter vise pins with short brass points soldered on them at 90degrees.
These fit and hold the cylinder in it's normal points of rotation, without any damage.
And it allows the vise to tighten and clamp the the cylinder stationary, or to allow it to be rotated, as desired.
Take a little tightness pressure off the vise and you can rotate the cylinder between the points to see or work on each flute.
I believe I posted pictures of this set up on the Cafe many years ago.

I have two brass cones with holes drilled through them. A rod is put through the cylinder with the cones put up against the cylinder to hold it. Two pieces of steel bent at 90 degrees with fitted with vice pins and holes drilled for the rod to go through are put in the vice. The brass cones and cylinder are placed between the two pieces of steel.
