I've been posting photos of work-in-progress on the 2022 Safari International 50th Anniversary Project over the past few weeks. Here is an additional photo of the top of the slide. The base inlay was done with 24K wires, then came the task of forming the easily recognizable facial attributes of eyes and teeth, followed by three days of Bear Hair! All detail was push-cut with a (tiny) 70-degree graver.

Thanks, after completing one of these I typically lay it aside for a few days and then come back and reevaluate. I think I need to spend some time on the background around the Grizzly with more stipple to darken that. I'm seeing some detail on the bear that I'll also want to touch up to create a bit more definition. At this point, there is no added coloration/darkening to the bear bring out some of that detail. After bluing it will likely need a touch of nano-black to darken the fine cuts.
