I'm about to attempt cutting a monogrammed seal ring and besides the obvious of reversing the image what else should one be aware of when cutting a seal ring? How about minimum depth?

Thanks,
Roger

Hello Roger!
Below are some examples - i think they give you a vision about the depth.

Andrew, i wish i had done a few of them. No, these are older ones done in the past. I like the older ones more than the newer. Don't no why, they are a bit more artistic. I believe i have fifty or sixty more of this kind in the drawer. Good illustrative material for me :)

Thanks Mario and Andrew,

Nice collection of samples Crests etc have the ability to be made deeper due to their breadth - I have to work on a monogramme with the cuts being about 1mm wide. Will probably be able to get away with doing the monogramme in relief allowing a deeper background.
