Hello,
I am a gunsmith by trade, currently I work as a Software Analyst. I have been professionally tooling on firearms for 5 years now. My gunsmithing niche is finishes and restorations. I have excellent trade references, a resume, and a portfolio.
I am seeking an apprenticeship with a Hand Engraver. My "idols" in the hand engraving trade would be:
1. Weldon Lister
Boerne TX
2. Kevin Johnson
Clarendon TX
3. Bert Edmonston IV
Colorado/Maryland
I have money(modest sum) to offer to cover shop expense. I am willing(and preferable) to trade my expertise for your knowledge. I am looking for a good mentor, that can impart knowledge AND wisdom to me. The win-win situation from the end of my apprenticeship would be working alongside the Professor/Instructor. I am hard-working and integrity is of the utmost importance to me. I do not drink heavily or regularly, or use drugs.
I am willing to put in the time, effort, and dedication.
