I've been developing a new style of finger picks for several years now. I engraved the hubs and/or dies to strike them in our hydraulic press but sometimes I do complete customs for presentation sets for special musicians or occasions, etc. My most popular models are personalized with initials, etc. We officially started marketing them about year ago, right at the start of the pandemic. They are now used by beginners and top level professional recording artists alike. Sterling silver delivers a superb tone for banjo, steel guitar, dobro, and guitar.

This is our latest production model pick. The "Classic Shield" model. And our new, die struck thumb picks. And for the heavy metal banjo players, the ever popular "Death Grip" model...

Holy Moly Sam, that is just rediculously awesome. I'd love to see a closeup just to study. Amazing!

A secondary market might be to provide blank picks for us engravers wishing to try our hand at engraving a set. A set to match the engraving on one of my guitars would be neat! View attachment 47850
Not to get away from the thread, but holy cow! Just incredible. Sam! Seafood, to wild game, to goats! This has everything!!! Whatever this is on, the incredible work and detail makes me want one : )

Really beautiful picks. looks like the dies are laser engraved from original drawings, struck flat and formed around a mandrel?

Hand engraved dies. Some are direct engraved. I don't do laser. I use special tools to form them. Mandrel won't work because that would flatten the patent pending gripper teeth on the inside.

Very nice! Yes, I can supply flat, blank picks. They are still die struck to form the Patent Pending gripper teeth on the inside. They also go through a pre-shaping operation that thins the bands and keeps the blades at 16 gauge. ( twice as thick as 'regular' picks) The thick, soft silver blades produce a much warmer tone than the stainless steel or nickel picks available everywhere. I prefer engraving them in a work-hardened state before annealing and shaping. Thumb picks are made one at a time from scratch for custom engraving but I suppose I could just hit them with a smooth die instead of the engraved die. My thumb picks also have inner teeth. A feature that most pickers love about them.

Here's a set I was recently commissioned to do for Scott Vestal, a seven time IBMA award winner and maker of the Stealth banjo. They were commissioned by a mutual friend for his birthday which is tomorrow. He's already received them so yesterday I got the go-ahead to show them. The black hand holding a banjo illustrates the prestigious Steve Martin award for excellence in banjo playing. The Steve Martin trophy is a life sized black hand holding a sort of crude looking silver banjo. I just wish I'd cleaned up the oxidizer better before I took these shots.
