Smoke Print Made Easy

Try this for an easy smoke print idea:
Instead of the traditional smoke print method using lamp/heat, use a dry erase marker.
1) clean the engraved surface
2) Swipe the clean, dry engraved surface with a dry erase marker going in one direction only (don't scrub back and forth) until the surface is covered. I used black.
3) Now you can use the usual clear tape to pull the smoke print.
4) Follow the typical procedure to document your engraving (apply tape to white paper, etc.)
This allows you to make a smoke print without exposing the engraved surface to heat. It is also portable.
Hope you find this helpful, Todd
