Something different, first gold inlay

First time doing some gold inlay, as for me, gold is a bit expensive to just start messing around with. Figured I had to give it a go though, as I want to learn all aspects of engraving. Figured I would do something a little bit different than scrollwork and opted for a lovers pendant instead. The 2 gold butterlies being the couple and the negative black butterflies representing kids leaving the house. Not sure if anyone else would see it like that, hahaha, but that is fine by me. Different meanings for different people so to speak.
Anyways...did make some mistakes in the inlay process, but hopefully I learned enough from this experience to not make those same mistakes again.

On to the next project...

The mistakes you did during the inlay process can´t be seen.. at lest not like this and for sure not by the naked eye. Awesome design, looks great!
