Many of the folks on this forum use flat black rustoleum paint to blacken engravings in stainless. Others use fingerprint ink, and still others use proprietary products from companies like Gesswein.

If you can put heat to it, you'll be able to discolor the metal then lightly sand the surface.

It's flat black enamel paint that's in a can, not a spray can. You may not have the "Rustoleum" brand over in Sweden, but any brand should work.

Put some in the background with a small brush and wipe off the surface with the heel of your hand or a piece of paper that's slick like newsprint or copier paper. That will take it off the surface only and leave the paint in the cuts and background.

Stainless plating

Although this is getting perhaps a bit more elaborate than you want, stainless also plates well.
There are many types of black plating for stainless.

I have a question,
Ã￾s it anyone who has engraved in 430 stainless steel , what´s the difference compared to 410 , 416 stainless steel. Because at this moment i can´t get anyone of this sorts exept the 430 stainless steel in sweden.

Thanks for any coments in this question.
