this is going to be a wonderful creation............can't wait to see it. I've looked at some of these moth's/butterfly's and they can be by design rather scarry, but definetly cool to the max! paps
Looking good! That's a lot of cloisonne wires. With so many layers (going by your previous project), are you using hard fusing flux to begin with or regular?
When all the cloisonne cells are filled with enamel there will be many hours of stoning and finishing to reveal the fine silver wires underneath. It's exciting like being an Archaeologist or a Paleontologist to reveal the hidden treasures that lie underneath!
very enjoyable both the pic, the background, and for allowing us to be on this journey. to my Suprise I now understand why you were researching snakes on this MOTH!!! lol mind blown lol. I'm going out to get more popcorn. thank you!!!!
I am inspired! I have never done this technique, it is a very exciting.
I have done some enamel work on fine silver for my current project, 'HORUS'The
Egyptian 'God of Kingship' .the enamel is Thompsons, both leaded and lead free.
Leaded seems to hold color better (these are opaque colors only in the spirit of Egyptian linear concept) here are some pictures of some items.
