Ray, If you have or can find a copy of the "Double Gun and Single Shot Journal" autumn 2006 vol 17 issue 3 they have an article on the Favorite with several nice pics of vintage "schutzen" models.
Has anyone tried the new model Favorites(current production) to engrave? They are availiable in 22wmr and 17hmr I am pretty sure so must be fairly strong. I will take a closer look at the one my friend has........maybe talk him into letting me try a test cut under the stock somewhere. If I learn anything I'll be sure to pass along the info.

A baby Schutzen. I agree what a cool idea.
Ray, I would add the palm rest. I think it would add to wow factor. More to engrave and a nice piece of burl wood would look great.
