Stoeger upland combo shotgun

Has any one had experience in removing the plating on the Stoeger upland combo action before engraving? If so, what surface preparation was then done before transfering the patterns to begin engraving? Fegarex, I'll bet this is right down your alley?:)

Hi Glenn,
I can't help you much on that one. I'm not sure if it is plated or a French Gray. The one we are using for class is blued and we will strip that. If in fact your gun is plated, you will need to take to someone that does plating. There is other options but not as good to remove the plating.
