studio cats

I remember a while back a few members posted pictures of their studio pets. I was wondering how many of you that have cats roaming around have had this incident happen to you. You sit down for a session, get things ready and start engraving, and its usually on the fine line stuff, kitty comes by and rubs up aganist the back of your lower leg....the leg that has the foot attached, that controls the foot control. One second you are being very cautious and delicate, the next second your handpiece takes off at mach 10 speed as soon as kitty mashes the gas for you! Good thing it was on a practice plate!

Hah!!!!!

Try sitting at your engraving bench at one with the world peering into your microscope. Lost in your own thoughts and concentrating on the job in hand. Right on the edges of your peripheral vision you become aware of the cats entering the room. Smokey and the Bandit. Both well named. Far off in the distance of your consciousness you realize they are circling you like sharks, looking for affection. They try every trick in the book to gain your attention. Meowing, purring, brushing up against you and even ignoring you. None of that works so there is only one thing left to do.............with claws extended, climb up your leg, one on each side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was practicing the other day and my big tabby "Gus" decided that he wasn't getting enough attention so he jumped from his chair to my bench and started head butting my scope.
cats.... ya just got ta love em

my cat is too cool and sophistocated to associate with me, except when her blood glucose levels get too low. at those special times she tolerates me until i feed her, then it's back to being ignorant again !
