Question: Teaching In New Zealand or even Australia

I am new to engraving, I have been a jeweller for 36b years and have just started engraving, does any one know where I can get some tuition in NZ?
I am more than happy to pay for some well needed help, I think I'm almost there but sure I'm doing something not quite right.

Yes I have seen Andrew's work, completely amazing!!! I did actually call Andrew up and he was most helpful, I had heard that he was coming up to Auckland to do some demo's at our local tool suppliers but it hasn't happened yet, I'm looking to do this more as a hobby for my old age, as it seems to be looming and I've always wanted to learn it... I don't really want to bother him too much, I guess he's a pretty busy guy,

Sorry about the late reply. I've been away to the FEGA show and laid up with some flu/virus thing that has slowed me down a bit.

I remember you calling me. Not sure what happened about the trip to Auckland and the demos....... maybe another day???

I hope the flu thing doesn't bug you too much, pardon the pun, thank you so much for your reply, I'm sure the problems I am having is from bad habit with the jewellery, but I seem to be cutting much too deep, I am getting so frustrated with myself, I would say a bit of time looking over my shoulder and guiding me in the right direction would really send me down the right path. I will take you up on your offer but will try not to bother you too much.
I hope you feel better soon, and I must say your work is out of this world.

I can only say Andrew that every time I have been on an international flight I have come down with a virius. I start to wonder if it is the spray they fill the plane with before we land, hope you are coming right now.
I will be down that way in March, in Murchison for family birthdays & weddings, will you be in residence?. If so, could I possiably contact you and arrange a short visit as I have to go to ChCh to see another Andrew at Big Game Taxidermy

Murchison is a great place. I used to spend a lot of time there fly fishing the local rivers. A very productive area and lots to do and see.

replied to the PM before I saw your post. Yes great fishing around Murchison & Nelson Lakes area, Easy to get around, you only have to throw a saddle over a sandfly and they will take you any where
