Hi John,
I got all the material together to put some of your blades together. What a good blade.
It easy to cut down because there isn't as much material to cut back.
I wound up making the carbide blade 2" and the brass Farrell just under a 1".
Rather than soldering the Farrell on, I just ran it through the square jaw on my rolling
mill. It seems to be quite tight since it crimp along the whole length of contact.

To engrave with they're great because there is practically nothing but cutting face.
Nice Idea.

We all learn from you, I know I have.
A couple of little notches cut into the part of the blade that goes into the brass shank helps to hold the blade from ever turning or moving if the thing is soldered or run through the mill as you did.

Jim...I too am a fan of John B's graver. He gave me one at the Blade Show, and I have been making them
for my students. I use them in the push graver. my Gravermax, and my Lindsay Classic hand piece. Keep up the good work.
