Is there specific guns that old English is almost mandatory?

Not mandatory but probably expected because of wanting a gun like the one they've seen elsewhere.

Not sure if you've finished your plate but its looking pretty good. The thing about english scroll is that its kind of dazzling. And the inexperienced eye has trouble focusing initially on one specific spot making the design stand out as a whole.Yours does that.

yes sir it's finished. For that one, I plan to get side plates from the shop and do some layout and design on somewhat of the real thing. Thanks for the encouragement, it took about 45 hours..........Rob

Sign it date it and do it again. Really try and get the round little scrolls like the gun has. Your on the way just keep cutting and drawing.

thanks Leland. I will do exactly that! I knew I should have made more scrolls, but I have this shaking situation now and am adjusting.........pressure, graver geo, and impact to compensate. On to number two. Thanks again. Rob Just a note, everything I have been doing for practice is 416 s.s
