Quick and dirty transfer from an adult coloring book. Still pretty cool.

That is an excellent practice plate. Much more enjoyable than engraving circles and arcs. Now to complete your practice scribe several parallel lines around the edges of the plate then engrave them.

I think I'm going to practice nick and dot borders on it. I don't mind scrolls, most of the fabrics and dishes in my house have some variation of a scroll which I didn't realize until after I went to GRS.

I probably will when I try my hand a bulino. It's a work in progress.

Make a bunch of photocopies and play with pencil to figure out ways to shade it. Take a look at some of Andrew Biggs' excellent work for help with ideas.
