Hi All,
I thought some of the group might be interested in engraving odd shaped jobs, and how to hold them.
The first is a school bell. Terry had one good solution, but this is another. The second is a families silver
birth spoon. You can be asked to engrave nearly any shape, so I try to be ready to do so.

Jim

Jim: Thanks for taking the time to make this tutorial. It's a good one, and I'll add it to the archives.

don't you just love doin this kind of stuff ? this kind of work allows one to "connect" with people. aside from the fun of doing the actual work, it's such a hoot getting involved with people on projects like this. and it keeps you fresh by always bringing a new challenge to the table.

Ya, Monk. Figuring something out for the first time is a real hoot. It's really kind of nice to be able to show someone
else also. My wife just pats me on the head and says "that's nice Jim".

I'm glad you like the information Sam. Keeping a camera around when things are happening makes it easy.
Talk to ya later,

Jim
