Hi,
I'm looking for some hand push engraving lessons in the UK. If a forum member could suggest a college or private tutor I'd be most grateful.
A weekend course in the midlands would be preferable, but any UK location would be ok.

Any other info on books or online tutorials would be great.

West dean college do short courses, ie: weekend, a couple of times a year. Wayne Parrott is the tuitor. You'll find details on their website. They offer lodging too during the course in the student rooms.

Yes, Wayne Parrott. He's taught 10k students or more. I'd take his class myself.

Say hello for me to the "other" Brian Marshall - should you happen to run across him while you are at West Dean or maybe visit Goldsmiths Hall.

He's not an engraving instructor. Silversmith/Jeweller. We lost contact some years back...

Thanks guys,
I see they run a course in October so I'll give them a call tomorrow. I'd like to get some practice in before then, but I'm concerned I may pick up some bad habits. What do you guys think? Should I wait or crack on?

West Dean are fully booked for October. Any other courses or private tutors here in the UK? Thought there might be something in birminghams jewelery quarter but can't seem to find anything.
