Graver stands

Check out the graver stand I had made by a company in Colorado. I drew up the dimensions and had two of them made, one in oak and one in walnut (shown here). I got them unfinished and applied a coat of dark brown Briwax. The oak is nice but the walnut is more to my liking. Nicely made with dovetail construction! $40 ea + shipping.

Not much, Bert. I occasionally grab a liner for some lettering or maybe a bent graver for inside ring work or a curved graver for down inside something (or inside a ring) where those types of gravers bounce too much for handpiece work.

Proper, oldfasioned gravers like that gives me a warm feeling inside. There is something soul calming about the old tools, I think, and together with those stands it becomes a pice of art in itself.
