Wow! Thanks monk!
Very nice words for sure.
So now let's go to "what I could do better"
I know that the upper scroll that comes out from the major scroll is coming out wrong. Sam A. pointed that out for me at the ICCE show in KC.
I was too focused on the scrolls below and wanted to let them meet below on that triangle.
Humm, not sure you get what I mean but Sam was right, the scroll should follow the flow of the main scroll.
I have got feedback on my shading too. I have to leave more white for the backbone.
But let me have it, feedback is making me a better engraver.
The best,

It's a beautiful job and only an engraver nerd would ever notice the scroll I pointed out to you. This is expertly done and quite attractive and you have every reason to be proud of your work!

Well thank you Sam, I really appreciate it.
But it is true what you said at the show. The scroll should come out the other way.
It's funny with scrolls, there is so much to think of. I guess that's why I want to master it. I also I think it's the most pleasing art form. I just love it.
Thanks!

Good point Sam W. A "C" scroll is an excellent solution for situations like this.

Ok, sometimes I can clearly see what you guys are talking about others not. The subtleties of scroll work can be a tad frustrating and I need to spend more time reading. It took a while and I think I see the point being made in this photo but to me it appears that the difficulty is created by elements going in opposite directions in the upper right portion of this photo?

Still, it is beautiful work.

Precisely Mike. That way you keep the same basic pattern and eliminate the "error". I think it even adds to your design. Sometimes the less that comes off the main scroll the more I like it.

Okay thanks Sam, I will keep that in mind next time I do scrolls.
Troy, I think you got it. I'm from Sweden you know, I understand movie English. I am having a hard time to understand engraving English but I will get there, same as engraving scrolls.
The best
