Thanks Marty, thought that was a great idea so I'll start off with photos of the flintlock in the video. A piece of very hard burled maple from northern Pennsylvania. The pattern is one I developed to fit me and my style of shooting but following the look of a 1750's era arm. The buttplate and trigger guard were castings with the trigger guard modified to resemble the side profile of a 1752 rifle. It is a .54 caliber with all artwork of my own creation and not following an original rifle. I'm quite happy with the side plate design but there is always room for improvement. I forgot to mention the wood was all scraped and burnished and not sanded is done so often today. I did need to blend a few of the dips that occurred due to the extreme soft spots vs. the very hard parts of the wood. The barrel treatment was an experiment using steam to change the red oxide of the browning to the blue/black. Yes, it shoots clover leaves at 25 yds. offhand.
I know there are a number of flint shooters/engravers on here so let's see some old world work for a change.
