Thanks Andy and Viljo! This is really cool!

Click the link for the video, and here's the finished drawing. I used a soft lead pencil in the Procreate app which makes a very organic and sketchy drawing.

Glad you like Lynda.com! I've learned a lot from that site over the past years. Great tutorials!

Great use of technology Sam. What are the dimensions of the drawing as drawn on the IPad?
Thanx
Jerry

Jerry: I drew it at the screen resolution of 2048 x 2732 pixels. Andy says you can get better results by going higher than that.

Sam, does procreate have a smooth tool, and a pen tool like illustrator?

Not to my knowledge. It's not vector like illustrator. It's more like photoshop. But I don't know it all that well yet.

Doug: I briefly experimented with Astropad app and Illustrator and I can tell you that the pressure sensitive Apple Pencil can be used with Illustrator. Basically Astropad mirrors your computer via bluetooth so you draw on the iPad and it appears on the computer screen. First test seems pretty positive.
