260 Brass

I have a chance to pick up some 260 brass sheet. 032 at a good price. Does any one know how it would be for engraving.

if available at a good price, there's always something one can do with the stuff. brass can be troublesome, esp if it's cast. in sheet form, it should be ok to engrave. i have had little trouble working the stuff in sheet form. then again, i never knew specific alloy info.

I purchased this, found a metal fabrication shop to cut the 36x48 sheets into manageable pieces and tried it out. I am certainly no expert, but it seemed to cut okay. At least as good as the hobby shop brass I had been using. thanks for all of the replies.

If you want some cheap metal that cuts nice and stays shine. Buy some phosphor bronze. Cuts better than copper or brass.
