Wonderful tutorial, Sam. Fascinating!

Please share what gauge you are using, and the process you are using for material deposition/removal.

I use a similar (?) process for 14K/18K gold overlay but it involves soldering the gold plate to the primary surface (silver/steel/whatever), and I generally do the cutouts (piercing),) before the materials are joined.

Thanks Sam.

.009 = 31 gauge. In the lower karat materials I use 26 - 30 gauge for overlay depending on the application. Only a .001 difference between 30 and 31.

Looks great!
