3d printing a little workbench organization

Like you, I make and use wood blocks. I fit many of them into 3"x 5" card file boxes. But I am unfamiliar with the green block in the background of your photograph. Am I correct to assume it is something available from machine shop suppliers? What is it called and who makes it. please?

    Critique Request Old Sears knife

Hello, look at the bottom of your scroll. Complete line of negative space with no elements reaching the border. Think you need to revise that. Otherwise....not too bad. Best of luck with it.

    Critique Request Scrollwork practice

Kishan, in your second drawing. The long, outside leaf that starts from the beginning of the scroll on the top left is running in reverse to the growing of leaves. Just pointing it out.......Expect you already know.

    Critique Request Scrollwork practice

Welcome to the Cafe forum Kishan, hope you enjoy a wonderful engraving career. I see some fine scrolls and interesting scroll elements in your drawings. In your drawings I see a mixture of bud and leaf elements, some of which don't work well together. The top right scroll in your second drawing...

Critique Request Testing the waters, templates and such.

JJ Have to disagree with JJ on this one. Many times I have been asked for a price quote and ideas for engraving a gun of a type with which I have no previous experience. And no sample gun from which make my own template. Paying a few dollars to buy an exact template showing the lettering and...

Critique Request Testing the waters, templates and such.

Thank you Marc, I think that price range would be very fair and would save a lot of time. It's important to have an accurately sized template when making overlaid preliminary designs. Personally, I would build the cost into my customer quote if it involved a gun that I did not have previous...

    How Deep To Cut?

Yes, the castings sold by FEGA are a true representation of the depth and actual cuts of the original engravings. To really judge the depth it is best to order the castings without ink.
