Based on Monks advice a few months ago I hot glued a barlow lense to a 38mm adapter. I had a realy hard time finding a barlow that would mount right to my leica.

I have noticed that sometimes when the design won't come off the parchment paper, I can carefully apply a small amount of fingernail polish remover to the parchment paper, let dry and burnish again.
Honestly I have tried almost all the different variations to blacken my engravings. Honestly getting paint or whatever to stick into fine shadding lines has been the most frustrating part of leaning this art.
Looking for opinions from other experienced engravers. I am doing this geometric pattern, if you were cutting it, would you cut each circle and let the pattern develop or would you cut each small arc?
I have used procreate and I like it a lot but it is not vector based so scaling stuff is challenging. I have recently been playing with Afinity Designer which is vector based and can do a lot but I have been unable to get the brushes to act just like procreate.
Does anyone have experience with the Colt MkIV Series 80? I am wondering what series the slide is made from to guage how difficult engraving it will be.
