    Garage News: Borchardt underway

    Much left to do including reworking some of what you see in the photos but......I'm off to a good start. This is the most difficult gun I've ever been asked to design. A lot of small canvases that need to feel connected and avoid the checkerboard syndrome.

    Here is the bottom. It presented some real problems. Rust around the dog's legs was deep enough that it could not all be removed. The barrel was rust blued and the receiver hot dipped so I had to blend them do my best to make it look the same. I'm not as happy with the bottom as I am the sides...

    Moving very nicely in the right direction. Define the slightly hollow area behind the ribs and in front of the rear leg. The rear end appears to be too high and rounded. Streamline it a bit and possibly lengthen slightly and the muscle on the upper rear leg will come down at a slight angle and...
