Announcement: A challenge to all members

As you guys can see i LOVE to use the search button, I'm constantly finding old useful posts. Here is my challenge, especially for the new guys, but not limited. Find an old thread that you consider helpful to others and revive it. How? Simple just reply and bring it back to life.

There are too many useful posts. Where would one begin and how would one determine what to revitalize? It might create a deluge. Better to revitalize old posts naturally as necessary. Just my two cents.

Personally i think that is better don't do it, all the important info is added to the tips archive, like you say me too i love search button and you can use it to find all the info that you need, revive a old post if you haven't nothing important or interesting to add just will add flood to the forum and hide new posts and new info, just my opinion.

First off I'm happy to see people use the SITE SEARCH button (top left, below the Cafe logo...it's a Google search) as it's the best search tool we have and is better than the built-in search box on the top right with the magnifying glass icon. There are many, many threads with tons of great information we've accumulated over the years that rarely see the light of day unless someone searches.

I might suggest starting a new thread on your topic of choice and get fresh input. However, if you see a great old thread you think would benefit others posting a link to the thread might be a better idea. One thing I try to avoid is having dozens of individual posts with links in them that, as mrthe pointed out, push newer posts off the front page.

Paolo and you are right Sam about a to much old stuff coming by what might be not that interesting if we all deepen up the past.
But I still like the idea of Carlos, he digged up some things I was not aware of and what was very informative ( like the thread of Martin Strolz).
Starting a special thread for those old nuggets could be very nice to read.

Linking to the useful old posts sounds good- but I too find it important to keep the links in one thread. We'll soon have a real hectic time to follow which posts have been created today, last year or several years ago
