A Little bit of your expertise please

Hi All,
I'm new to this group and also new to engraving, I have a small collection of gravers and a vice and Meeks book "Art of Engraving".
This looks like something i would like to get into and was wondering if the GRS system 3 would be a good unit for me to start with.
I'm a little limited on funds as i'm sure most are and the system 3 looks pretty economical but i would like to know how the performance is
I would like to eventually try engraving guns

Hi Dave. Welcome to the Cafe.

While I've seen decent engraving done with a System 3, it's not one I recommend. Since you're on a budget, consider a used GraverMax. Since the debut of the GraverMach, there have been several used GraverMaxes for sale at good prices. / ~Sam

After i posted my question i figured out how to do a search and did see a thread about the System 3 and what people thought of it.
