John Bolliger (Riflemaker, Pocatello, ID) and I have partnered on many fine rifles over the years. He called recently to ask if I could do a dinosaur portrait? It seems one of our mutual clients for whom we've created several big game rifles, always theme dedicated to the game taken on his personal property, had a new one for us.
University researchers had recently discovered the ancient remains of an Acrocanthosaurus on his ranch. The dig is on and will be for some time.

Meanwhile, John and I already have his "Really Big Game Rifle" underway.

That dinosaur is quite ferocious and scary but quite beautiful coming off the canvas! I hope he stays put!

Something the Howitzer range?? A German 88 would do the job.
